The Joker
by L.A. Hood

Through the corridors of time!
And the Joker rears his head.
“Buy a piece of me today,
Or live your life in dread.”
A mythos here, a Sci-Fi there
Or hawk a war or two.
Illusions loom before you now
Too large to walk right through.
But stand up now and wave your arm
Then snap your fingers twice.
Was he all of a “god” before you?
Can you break the ice?
Frozen now on the precipice
Of “what was” or “shall be”.
The Joker is only illusion now.
Wake up! Look! You are free!
